Experts: Lack of health insurance in Texas could play role in measles outbreak

SAN ANTONIO (WOAI) — Data from the annual Episcopal Health Foundation poll on healthcare access and affordability in Texas shows the state has the most people without health insurance.


“Texas, it has the most uninsured people out of any state in the country has the highest rate and the most uninsured,” said Brian Sasser, Chief Communications Officer for the Episcopal Health Foundation.


Sasser said the organization’s annual poll on healthcare access and affordability in Texas shows the state has the highest rate of adults without health insurance, and children are also lacking access to healthcare.
