Who We Are
The Texas Coalition for Patients works to support patients, families, and health care providers that care for Texas communities by advocating for greater patient-centered transparency and accountability from Big Insurance.
Texans are all too familiar with stories of high premiums, poor coverage, denied claims, insurance runarounds and other battles with Big Insurance companies. TCP believes Texans’ voices should be heard and that Big Insurance obstruction should come to an end.
Critical Condition
Texas patients and providers continue to face challenging market forces in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, while Big Insurance has seen record-breaking profits. Despite this massive disparity, health insurers have engaged in a decades-long campaign to place the burden of care in Texas squarely on the backs of patients and providers, all to add to their profits.
We need fair, transparent policies that help patients receive the high-quality treatment they need and the insurance benefits they pay for.
